ANNA DRESSED IN BLOOD by Kendare Blake - Review

It has to be a long-review because I am in love with this book and I can't wait for share my feelings with you.

First of all I want to list my feelings about this book and then character analize, and I am warning you, take care of yourself because in this post-review, we're talking about Anna Korlov who dressed in blood..

  • First of all, this book includes horror, young adult, fantasy and sweety romance.
  • Anna Korlov is the ghost who lives in a strange house and killing the people who came to her house. This story is not telling by Anna, our storyteller is Cas. For the curious ones; Cas's full name is Cassio Theseus Lowood. Yes, I mean that's too long and I want to pick the first one.
  • Anna Dressed in Blood is the first book in the Anna Dressed in Blood series and written by Kendare Blake.
First and the second books:
And these are my feelings:
  • I loved this book. I never read a book like that before. I mean; this book contains a lot of creepy scenes and eerie. But I liked the characters, plot, author's writing style and humors.
  • The story begins like Cas tries to kill one ghost who is in his car and take his to the bridge where his the place died. And the action begins. With a full of humor. I love Cas's sense of humor.
  • But our the most important ghost is: Anna Korlov. She is a badass therewithal she has so emotional story too. She doesn't want to be like that. Never. But when Cas cames, something change and what does Cas do? Helping for Anna to save her or killing Anna to do his job? I don't give any spoilers about that so if you want to learn, read it! :)

Character Analize:
ANNA KORLOV
  • Cas Lowood: He is a ghost-killer who always travel the world for his job. His job cames from his dad, and he has started to do his job since her father died. He wants to kill the ghosts for his dad and he wants to save the innocent people. He takes a job to kill Anna Korlov but this is more difficult than he thought. Cas is so sweet and I love the romance between Cas and Anna. So sweet but by the way; weird. :)
  • Anna Korlov: She died badly in 1958 and she has killed the people who enters her house since 1958. But when we learned her story, we know she didn't want to do bad things and I think she deserve a good life. My favorite character is Anna of course.
  • Thomas: He is Cas Lowood's best friend. Firstly I don't like him but then I like him. :)
  • Carmel: Beautiful princess and if she wants, she becomes a badass too. I like her and I want to get curious about the romance between Carmel and Thomas.
  • Will: Annoyable character. That's it.
ANNA AND CAS
THE BOOK:

Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.
So did his father before him, until he was gruesomely murdered by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father's mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. They follow legends and local lore, destroy the murderous dead, and keep pesky things like the future and friends at bay.
Searching for a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas expects the usual: track, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he's never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, now stained red and dripping with blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.
Yet she spares Cas's life.

REVIEW:
I went to the cinema today and I have a lot of option but I choosed 'The Legend of Hercules' because I love Kellan Lutz and the other reason is I watched trailer before and I loved it. I also interested in Greek Mythology.
When the film begins, I wondered about the movie because my expectations is in high level. But I think this film is amazing, I love the casting- especially Kellan Lutz- and the fighting scenes are so good. This film is worth to watch, always I am saying this is my opinion. Everyone can't love this movie as much as me and I accept everybod'y opinion. If you watch this film, you can add your thoughts in comment both good or bad :)
Some effects are seems to me like unnatural for example: the lightning scene but except that I loved the film and I recommend to all mythology, action, war, adventure film-lovers :)

Review: SENTINEL by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Sentinel by Jennifer Armentrout

Jennifer Armentrout is well-known and very talented writer who writes about Greek mythology, new adult, fantasy and romance. And Sentinel is the last book in Covenant series. I am very sad for Covenant series is over but Jennifer will going to publish a spin-off series about side character: Seth. And there is going to be a New Adult book, not a Young Adult as Covenant series books. This is going to be a very good experience because I love Seth as much as Aiden and I can't wait to read his point of view.

Previous Books in Covenant Series

I am going to write my review with my short thoughts. Don't worry, I don't give any spoilers.

  • First of all, I think Sentinel is one of the most excited books I've ever read. Let me say like this, All Covenant series books are excited. But my favorite is the third book, Deity.
  • Jennifer did a very good job to how this series gonna be end. I love the ending. The last 30 pages are so emotional, heartbreaking and BAM! I am shocked by the way in ending,,,AWESOME!
  • Yes, this review maybe contains fangirling because I am going to talk about two awesome guys! Oh,come oon! :)
  • The best part of the book is Aiden and Seth.
  • Aiden is very handsome, brave, protective, lover, sweet and whatever good term about boys. He has all goodness and he loves Alex very much..
  • Seth is a bad guy but he has a great heart. He is always going to be humiliated and lonely. I love him in Sentinel but I want to add in the previous books he is a little bit annoyed me. But when he shows up in Sentinel and tell everything of what he's done and what he's done in the ending.. I fell in love with him again! I can't wait for reading his own thoughts in new adult form. I CAN'T WAIT!!!
  • By the way I love Apollo, especially raid parts to Alex&Aiden :))
My review is that. I love that book and I miss Aiden and Alex but I am so happy to read an awesome series like this and thanks to Jennifer for amazing ending!

10- Apollyon by Jennifer Armentrout
Fate isn’t something to mess with… and now, neither is Alex.

Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex’s power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex’s connection to Seth isn’t the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole “an Apollyon can’t be killed” theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.

Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.
