Book Reviw: CRESS by Marissa Meyer

In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.

Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood who's only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.

When a daring rescue of Cress goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has.

Hey, everyone! I am here to review an amazing and absolutely fantastic book for me: Cress by Marissa Meyer.
You can read my Scarlet review here.

Actually, when I read the first book, I didn't expect to Lunar Chronicles series is going to impress me too much. But at the end of the Scarlet, I realized that I really want to read this series more and more. All of the characters are amazing except Levana of course :)

The Lunar Chronicles series has the most amazing worldbuilding for me and at the end of the Cress, I think Marissa Meyer increased in a high level and in each book we can see the improvement gradually.

As like the previous books, the author makes the similarities with fairytales and in this book Cress is one of the main character and she is Rapunzel.

I really love her because she is so sweet and she has a deep love for Captain Thorne-like me- and I just felt sorry for her when she explained her feelings about being trapped in a satellite for seven years. She is so fragile and she just wants to see the World and be with Thorne.-every girl want that though-

I can hear your cryings about what it is happening between the other ships? Cinder/Kai? Scarlet/Wolf? I am going to explain everything and I will warn you may see spoilers ahead.

Cress/Thorne:
Is it the obvious thing these two characters are the best for me? Yeah, I love Thorne no I think it's more than that. I need him like Cress needs him. PLEASE. GIVE. ME. THORNE. PLEASE...

Anyway, Cress and Thorne is amazing together and if Thorne couldn't be mine he can't be with someone else except with Cress.

He is so sweet, He is just perfect match for Cress. I loved him in Scarlet too, but in this book, I can sense his emotions for Cress.

I think it's not open relationship like Scarlet and Wolf but you can sense the attraction between them. Especially I can feel Thorne's emotions when Cress kidnapped. I can't describe at all and can't say this feeling is definitely love but it's kind and similar of that. He cares about her and openly he has feelings for her. In my opinion, the first reason why their relationship is taking slowly is about his temporary blindness. And the second of it is Cress had known him as a hero and when he explains the reasons she got disappointed. No, she is not disappointed. Even she loved him more. But for Thorne, I think he may realized in that way but I hoped we can see their 'REAL relationship' I know because Marissa is an awesome writer.

Scarlet/Wolf:
These two are my favorite ships in Scarlet but unfortunately, we can't see them together so much in Cress because of circumstances.

Cinder/Kai:
Finally we can see them together!! And reunited! They are so adorable at the end of the Cress.

NOTEABLE SCENES:

“Captain?""Yeah?""Do you think it was destiny that brought us together?"He squinted and, after a thoughtful moment, shook his head. "No. I'm pretty sure it was Cinder.”

“I promise, I will not let you die without being kissed.”
“Captain,” she murmured.“I think I’m in love with you.”An eyebrow shot up. She counted six beats of his heart before, suddenly, he laughed.“Don’t tell me it took you two whole days to realize that. I must be losing my touch.”
“Knees suddenly weak, she reached for his forearms to stabilize herself. “You came for me.”
He beamed, looking for all the world like a selfless, daring hero.
“Don’t sound so surprised.” Dropping the cane, he pulled her into a crushing embrace that tore her away from Wolf and lifted her clean off the floor. “It turns out you are worth a lot of money on the black market.”

If you love dystopian, young adult, space books with great sense of humor and with nonstop action, you definitely have to read this series. I really loved it and can't wait for the last book of the series: Winter.

I don't want to say good-bye to all of the characters even Levana and I really enjoyed every page of it. I hope and believe Marissa Meyer end this series with epic, romantic, dramaric, enjoying conclusion. I love her writing style because of this. You can feel the characters' feelings and want to be the part of the crew. And I feel like when I'm reading I'm the part of the crew. It's all amazing. Just. Read. It.

MY EMOTIONS GITH GIFS:

While I was reading Cress:

When my ships are perfectly matched together: (Especially Thorne and Cress)

Through the end of the book and already knew that cliffhanger is coming:
PLOT TWISTS: (Marissa did it very well)
Turn the pages and when I see the Acknowledgements part...
WANT THE NEXT BOOK IN MY HANDS!!!!!!!!!!
When I saw the release date of Winter:

And I realized Winter is going to be 824 pages full of awesomeness. HELL. YEAH. COME. ON.
THIS. SERIES. IS. THE. BEST.........

Book Review: THE BOOK OF IVY by Amy Engel

After a brutal nuclear war, the United States was left decimated. A small group of survivors eventually banded together, but only after more conflict over which family would govern the new nation. The Westfalls lost. Fifty years later, peace and control are maintained by marrying the daughters of the losing side to the sons of the winning group in a yearly ritual.
This year, it is my turn.
My name is Ivy Westfall, and my mission is simple: to kill the president’s son—my soon-to-be husband—and restore the Westfall family to power.
But Bishop Lattimer is either a very skilled actor or he’s not the cruel, heartless boy my family warned me to expect. He might even be the one person in this world who truly understands me. But there is no escape from my fate. I am the only one who can restore the Westfall legacy.
Because Bishop must die. And I must be the one to kill him…

Hey,everyone! I know I haven't been her for a long time but for now I am going to post a book reviews as much as possible. I finished The Book of Ivy yesterday and I am just speechless because I don't think I will love this book so much but now, after reading this amazing book, I can say this book is one of the most amazing book I've ever read.

It is so stunning and beautiful. I just can't define all of my feelings and the ending is torturing me. I don't know how I can wait till the next book.( The second book will out in November.)

If you love dystopian book with irresistable romance, you should no you must have to read this book.

Ivy is a strong girl who is determined to take her revenge from Lattimer's because of her father's revolution. I don't like Ivy's parents because they are acting to Ivy like she is a puppet and Ivy only wants to be loved by her parents.

I can't define Bishop because he became my favorite character in this book. Because he always does the right choice and his relationship with Ivy is so realistic because it takes slow and deep. He is honest, he has wishes and he wants to make Ivy happy. Bishop is so kind, sweet, handsome.. I can say Bishop has all of the good characters and possibly deserve to being loved by Ivy.

I can't say this book has full of action. Actually The Book of Ivy is a romance book more than dystopian. It has dystopian World but it isn't focused on the World-building like The Hunger Games or the other dystopian books. I like it in this way better because I love Bishop, Ivy and their relationship.

THE ENDING...
The most annoying part... When I realized the book has just finished, I just get upset because of the ending and also realized I have to wait untill November... Please give the second book to meee!!! TORTUREE!!!

“He blows out a breath, takes a step toward me. The hallway is so narrow that I’m pinned between the wall and his body, heat rolling off him in waves. “Yeah,” he says, voice low. “I feel things.” His green eyes burn. It’s the most emotion I’ve seen from him so far, and I have trouble taking a full breath, my lungs compressed with tension. “That’s the whole point, Ivy. I want you to feel them, too.”

“He didn’t save me, though. He allowed me the freedom to save myself, which is the very best type of rescue.”

“You’re easy to read, Ivy, but the whole book of you is complicated.”

“He knows me better than anyone ever has. Than anyone ever will again. I would have stopped it if I could have. But I've learned the hard way, we can't choose who we love. Love chooses us. Love doesn't care about what's convenient or easy or planned. Love has its own agenda and all we can do is get out of its way.”

Book Review: THE DARKEST MINDS by Alexandra Bracken

When Ruby woke up on her tenth birthday, something about her had changed. Something alarming enough to make her parents lock her in the garage and call the police. Something that gets her sent to Thurmond, a brutal government “rehabilitation camp.” She might have survived the mysterious disease that’s killed most of America’s children, but she and the others have emerged with something far worse: frightening abilities they cannot control.
Now sixteen, Ruby is one of the dangerous ones.
When the truth comes out, Ruby barely escapes Thurmond with her life. Now she’s on the run, desperate to find the one safe haven left for kids like her—East River. She joins a group of kids who escaped their own camp. Liam, their brave leader, is falling hard for Ruby. But no matter how much she aches for him, Ruby can’t risk getting close. Not after what happened to her parents.
When they arrive at East River, nothing is as it seems, least of all its mysterious leader. But there are other forces at work, people who will stop at nothing to use Ruby in their fight against the government. Ruby will be faced with a terrible choice, one that may mean giving up her only chance at a life worth living.

Hey everyone! I started to read this book in December's last days and finished it in January 2015 and I have lots of time to review it but I don't really want to post something so I apologise. And here I am, finally doing my book review.

This is going to be my first book review in 2015 and The Darkest Minds is a good start for my 2015-reads. I really enjoyed while I was reading and hoped that I will never see the ending. The ending... I don't want to talk about that because my emotions are still hurts and feels like I had just finished the book 5 minutes ago.

Anyway, this book is amazing. I can't wait to read the second one and hopefully after that ending, I have some wishes to come true. You need to read if you want to learn what I am talking about.

This is a dystopia novel and I don't really like dystopian books. Despite this I loved this book very much.

First of all, I want to talk about characters. I loved Ruby, Liam and Chubs very much. But I hate Clancy. He is so irritating and so violent but pretend to be like kind. But I can sense him in a first sight and I want to warn Ruby...

Liam is one of the best book boyriends ever. He is so cute, kind, sweet and also strong. His characteristic is wonderful. He has got a lot of pain too but he is strong and he never do something bad to his friend. Especially Ruby. When Liam came up in book, I know that they are going to be more than friends. And their relationship's developing is so wonderful and realistic.

Ruby is a strong girl even her some bad choices. She is also dangerous and that's why she is so careful at her friends. She doesn't want to hurt them.

“Did you know...you make me so happy that sometimes I actually forget to breath? I'll be looking at you, and my chest will get so tight...and it's like, the only thought in my head is how much I want to reach over and kiss you.”

“He's so busy looking inside people to find the good that he misses the knife they're holding in their hand.”

“Never, never, never. I am never going to forget you.”

He just looks like Liam!!! Cute!! :)

“That was not like riding a bike, you asshole!”
“That was the Liam Stewart way of saying, Hi, darlin', missed you something fierce.”

I gave this book 4- stars and I actually want to give 5-stars but the ending makes me so disappointed and sad. I don't know, I just can't give 5-stars but hopefully I want to give the sequel :) I hope.. :)

Anyway, If you are looking for amazing book with different world, amazing characters, powerful children and colorful classification, this is the best book for this category. Interesting plot and interesting book.

I recommend this book very much.
I hope you are going to enjoy it too.
I hope that I can get the second book as soon as possible.
I hope that the second book is going to be amazing like that.

Yes, I have so much expectations for the second one and this can show that how much I like The Darkest Minds too, right?
