DAUGHTER OF SMOKE & BONE by Laini Taylor Book Review

With a poetic written, Laini Taylor tells the demon and angel's story with the most original type.

Around the world, black handprints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky.
In a dark and dusty shop, a devil’s supply of human teeth grows dangerously low.
And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherwordly war.
Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real, she’s prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands", she speaks many languages - not all of them human - and her bright blue hairactually grows out of her head that color. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she’s about to find out.
When beautiful, haunted Akiva fixes fiery eyes on her in an alley in Marrakesh, the result is blood and starlight, secrets unveiled, and a star-crossed love whose roots drink deep of a violent past. But will Karou live to regret learning the truth about herself?
Daughter of Smoke & Bone is one of my favorites so far. I love everything about this book. I want to give more than 5 stars to this book because I think Laini Taylor deserves all the congratulation and applauses.
A writing style is so intriguing and also attractively poetic. This makes the book is more interesting worth to read. When I read this book, I feel like I am in this story and watch the happenings directly. Not just reading. That's more than that.
Karou is so naive and also strong girl and we can feel her loneliness and all the feelings. She loves drawing and she is very talented girl.
She lives in Prague and goes to Art School. With her blue hair, she is more different from other people.
Akiva is an angel and I can't imagine how beautiful he is because when Laini Taylor describe him, you can only think that he is perfection.

Daughter of Smoke & Bone is the first book of the trilogy. This trilogy has a really beautiful covers and I can't stop my starings.
And by the way, I just heard this trilogy is going to be in a film! I can't imagine that I am going to see the characters and also sad about because they can't pick the right person for Akiva. Because he is so good-looking to being impossible.
Anyway, I don't want to give spoilers but I have to because I couldn't keep my feelings more.

Spoilers ahead****

When I started to read tihs book, I just think that this book is going to be like other angel books. A normal human girl falls in love with a mysterious angel boy.
That's not.
Exactly not.
This is more than that. An this book is the most amazing angel book I've ever read.
The girl and the boy's love is forbidden of course. Like Romeo and Juliet, Akiva and Karou can't love each other.
But they can't fight for their love too:
Once upon a time, an angel and a devil fell in love.
But there has been consequences too:
It did not end well.
“Hope can be a powerful force. Maybe there's no actual magic in it, but when you know what you hope for most and hold it like a light within you, you can make things happen, almost like magic.”
This book gave so much things to you: a forbidden love, hope, true love and pain

“Wishes are false. Hope is true. Hope makes its own magic.”

“...You are not just going to vanish like this, Karou. This isn't some goddamn Narnia book.”

“Stop squandering yourself, child. Wait for love.”
And there is a lot of place in this book. And that makes me go everywhere where Laini tells in that beautiful story: Prague especially.

And by the way we have side characters; Zuzana and Kaz. I don't like Kaz but I really like Zuzana. She is a good friend for Zuzana and she understands her.

“It's not like there's a law against flying."
"Yes there is. The law of gravity.”
“Hey! My body may be small, but my soul is large. It’s why I wear platforms. So I can reach the top of my soul.”

“Your soul sings to mine. My soul is yours, and it always will be, in any world. No matter what happens. I need you to remember that I love you.”

“Love is a luxury.""No. Love is an element."An element. Like air to breathe, earth to stand on.”

I recommend this book to all of fantasy and angel-demon lovers. This book gives so much meaning to you: love and hope is the best example for it.

Karou and Akiva's love story is so epic and adorable. I fall in love with their relationship; so realistic and soft. And in the end of the book, all of my thoughts are get the second book ASAP!!
Warning: This book's ending might take your breath away and you can be in a heart attack. There is just one cure; read the second book!
But I haven't :( I have to wait till the second book will publish in Turkey.

Have a nice weekend and see you at my new blog post :*

The Mephisto Kiss by Trinity Faegen Book Review

The Mephisto Covenant series continued with more action and romance..
The eyes never lie. No one’s eyes are darker than Eryx. Not even the Devil’s.
When Jax and Sasha first see Jordan Ellis, they know she is no ordinary teenager. She’s the daughter of the President after all, but she’s also Anabo – a descendant of Eve.
What they don’t know is that Eryx plans to kidnap Jordan and force President Ellis to pledge his soul. If Eryx’s plot succeeds, the consequences would be catastrophic.
But the Mephisto brothers do know about Jordan’s secret identity. And for one of them, she could be the match that leads to their soul’s salvation.
Now it’s a desperate race against time to save Jordan and prevent Eryx’s haunting eyes from discovering her true identity.
A thrilling story of romance, danger, and intrigue, THE MEPHISTO KISS continues the marvelous mythology that began in THE MEPHISTO COVENANT.
This book is such a surprise for me because I just started this book to not expecting so many thing just have fun. But the book is so good and actually better than the first one. When I finished the book, I just want to read the third and I guess the last one. I think the third one will better than this one because I can't wait to read the Phoenix and Mariah's story.

I was surprised when I started the book and see the different character's plot. But I think this one is better
because we can see the previous characters too. In the first book of the series, we read Sasha and Jax's love story. I really liked that too. But in this book we read Jordan and Key's love story. This book has more complicated love story and this is so intriguing. Jordan has no chance to live because in the beginning of the book, she dies and she has to choose Key or being dead. I guess you know the selected thing that's obvious :)
I love Key so much but I can't tell same thing about Jordan. Because in the whole book she acts like an idiot and that annoyed me. I know she has been through so much things but she is wrong about Key situation. He doesn't deserve her.
You can read the book before the first one but I will warn you this book has series has a different mythology so if you want to understand the plot quickly I suggest read the first one and then this one.

I really liked the sequel of The Mephisto and I can't wait to read more about this series..

INTO THE STILL BLUE by Veronica Rossi Book Review

A well written conclusion of the Under The Never Sky series..

The race to the Still Blue has reached a stalemate. Aria and Perry are determined to find this last safe haven from the Aether storms before Sable and Hess do—and they are just as determined to stay together.
Within the confines of a cave they're using as a makeshift refuge, they struggle to reconcile their people, Dwellers and Outsiders, who are united only in their hatred of their desperate situation. Meanwhile, time is running out to rescue Cinder, who was abducted by Hess and Sable for his unique abilities. Then Roar arrives in a grief-stricken fury, endangering all with his need for revenge.
Out of options, Perry and Aria assemble an unlikely team for an impossible rescue mission. Cinder isn't just the key to unlocking the Still Blue and their only hope for survival--he's also their friend. And in a dying world, the bonds between people are what matter most.
In this final book in her earth-shattering Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi raises the stakes to their absolute limit and brings her epic love story to an unforgettable close.
Under The Never Sky series is one of the most exciting and thrilling dystopia I've ever read. I just started this series one year ago and I read first and second book repeatedly. This serie might be my holiday series because when I went to holiday I just pick up this series and this is going to be so enjoyable.

Characters are so unique and abilities for fighting. Perry is a Seer and that means he can sense. Aria and Roar is an Aud and that means they can hear extraordinarily good.
The action never stop in Into The Still Blue so that means you never want to drop out; although you don't want to finish either. Because this is the final book of the brilliant series.

*Spoilers ahead about the first and second book

Let's start to talk about the happenings;

The book starts with Aria and we can see how badly she has shotten. She is suffering and she couldn't believe what was happening.
Because Sable and Hess took Cinder and Perry feels guilty for thinking this might be his fault. But it's not.
I just want to see dead Sable's face in a whole book because he does bad things to all of the characters. He killed Liv and that was the wost part for Roar.
I feel so bad for Roar because he really loves Liv and he thinks her death is his fault. He wathed her death in his own eyes. That's just so sad and I just hope that might be a chance to Liv is alive and came back.

Aria and Perry have a arguments but when they are coming back together, I just realize they meant to be together and noone can seperate them.
Soren is more different in this book and we can see his change. He became a good boy and that just makes me happy.
Sable is the most horrible character and I never had a symphaty for him. Ever.
Hess is working with Sable and that means he is bad too but not as much as Sable I think.
I feel so sad about Cinder because he is different from other people and this makes he is target.

If you love dystopia with interesting plot and intriguing events, you should read this amazing series. Under The Never Sky is one of my favorite series and I am so happy for reading such an amazing series. Thank you Veronica Rossi. I am following your other plans for books right now. :)

FANGIRL by Rainbow Rowell Book Review

First of all, I just want to make a good review for Fangirl because this book has a lot of meaning for me. Fangirl is one of the most amazing book I read in 2014 and I can admit that Fangirl is one of my favorite book so far. And this book is probably the funniest and most realistic book I read in 2014. Everything in Fangirl make me smile and happy. And the biggest supply is of course Levi and Levi's smiles.

REVIEW:

Firstly, I want to introduce characters. All of the characters are amazing and having problems. And this issues didn't make the book worse, contrarily it makes better because the characters seem more realistic.
Cath is a new university student and she is Simon Snow fan. For this reason she write a fanfiction about Simon Snow and she came popular in the internet.

Cath has a twin too. Her name is Wren. She is also love Simon Snow too but she is more sociable than Cath and she wants to stay with someone in the university campus. For this reason Cath is upset and has to stay with her new roommate; Reagan.

Reagan is not so talkative neither Cath is. So their friendship is a little weird. Contrarily Levi who is Reagan's boyfriend is such a talkative person and also so smiley. He is awesome about everything. He is tall, slim, blonde and so cute.
His ten thousand smiles worth the world's burning.

By the way, Cath's fanfiction has a lot place in the book too. She is introvert person so her only free-time activity is writing fanfiction about Simon and Baz.
But when she meet with Levi, her life changes suddenly. Levi makes her different and she is afraid for falling in love with him because he is her roommate's boyfriend.
I don't want to give spoilers to you but I claim that if you love young adult books and you are a bookworm, you need to read Fangirl.
Cath is like me; a book worm and not so talkative. This makes me think and see more realistic for what happens. It's like I am not the only one who falling in love with books and obsessed and this makes me happy to read.

You just love the characters, the plot, Levi and Levi's smiles and the other things about books.
Fangirl is a must read for bookworms, I had comcerns about Fangirl before I started to read but when I started the book, concerns are all gone and I only think that I am falling in love with book and I can't stop thinking about how Rainbow Rowell's writing can be better and attractive. It's impossible. Rainbow Rowell did a great job for bookworms.
I just want to read all of books Rainbow wrote and firstly I decided to read Eleanor&Park because I see a lot of recommendations. I believe I love the other books Rainbow wrote like I love Fangirl.
